Student Life at Imperial

Hi, I’m a second year medical student at Imperial. My university experience here has allowed me to connect with so many ambitious and driven people and opened countless avenues for me not just academically but in all aspects of university life. There’s a place for everyone to be at home here in what can seem like such a big city.

I think Imperial College is the very best place to study medicine. You have the opportunity to learn from amazing doctors and researchers. The medical curriculum is varied and interesting. The atmosphere at Imperial is very vibrant and there is always something happening. If you enjoy learning in an interactive and engaging way, I would recommend applying 100%!

ICSM supports you to become the best version of yourself through providing high quality medical education while also encouraging continuous personal development. With leading experts in their field delivering lectures, small group teaching and early clinical exposure, I've gained strong foundations for my career as a future doctor. I feel supported through the academic and welfare services available and feel like my life beyond medicine is considered and valued. I've found my sense of purpose and truly enjoy what I'm studying. Although I'm only in second year, I already feel like a part of the team making patients' lives better.

I really enjoy the medicine course here at ICSM. ICSM is a vibrant community filled with passionate teachers and students who are eager to learn with the shared goal of becoming kind and capable doctors. The quality of education here is impeccable and there are many opportunities to pursue extracurriculars outside of medicine!

I have enjoyed studying medicine immensely from the cutting edge teaching to being involved in clinical trials. Imperial is at the forefront of clinical research and intervention. Imperial has so many societies that you get get involved with. Having been in many societies from Light Opera, Dance and Drama, these have made such an impact on my experience at Imperial and also helped out so much with academics as well.

Imperial truly is a community that fosters encouragement, motivation and support to excel. Alongside world-class teaching and innovation, the opportunities to explore your interests and research novel ideas are excellent. I feel that you come away with more than just a degree.

I’ve really enjoyed my time at ICSM - I feel that the teaching I’ve had here and the opportunities available to me will make me a much stronger clinician. I love studying in London and there’s a great sense of community here. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!
