If you are a Module Lead, start with step 1. For each of them consider if it can be delivered remotely. Identify how these sessions were delivered in a face to face environment (lecture, tutorial, student-led session, lab practical, TBL etc.).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-8973\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-8973\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Step 3: Identify the most practical mode of delivery<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-8973\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-8973\"><p>For each of your sessions identify its main purpose (or specify the session learning outcomes). Based on this, decide on the best\/most practical mode of delivery &#8211; how best can you achieve these objectives? Read the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medlearn.imperial.ac.uk\/learningdesign\/home\/scenarios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scenarios<\/a>\u00a0to help you make the decision &#8211; this may require a discussion with the people responsible for delivering the sessions.<\/p><p>The general recommendation is to apply the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medlearn.imperial.ac.uk\/learningdesign\/home\/recommended-model\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">remote teaching model<\/a>, which can be modified if there are constraints that make it impractical.<\/p><p>In general, we do not recommend replacing like for like (e.g. replacing all lectures with whole-class online sessions) but adapting the delivery based on the purpose of each teaching event and the learning outcomes it supports (this may mean removing or merging some of the teaching events, and\/or replacing with other modes of learning).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-8974\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-8974\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Step 4: Consider the assessment<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-8974\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-8974\"><p>Remind yourself of the assessment for the module and consider how these sessions will prepare students for the assessment.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-8975\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-8975\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Step 5: Identify gaps<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-8975\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-8975\"><p>Identify gaps. The main areas where gaps can be present are:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Content<\/strong>:\u00a0there may be content, assets and activities that will need to be designed, created (or collated, or repurposed) and reviewed. Existing materials will need to be adapted. List all the content gaps.<\/li><li><strong>Skills<\/strong>: there may be need for additional training in designing and\/or creating.<\/li><li><strong>Support<\/strong>: you may need to rethink how best to support learners in a remote environment.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-family: roboto; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 300;\"><strong>Assessment<\/strong>: assessment may be modified for remote delivery, but it should still align with the learning outcomes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-8976\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"6\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-8976\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Step 6: Identify ways of bridging the gaps<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-8976\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"6\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-8976\"><p>Identify ways of bridging the gaps:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Content gaps<\/strong>: where to get the missing content from? Are there resources already available? If not, who will create this content? Is the content actually needed to fulfill the learning outcomes? What types of content are needed? Who do I need to contact?<\/li><li><strong>Support gaps<\/strong>: what adjustments need to be made in order to communicate effectively with students online? What additional support might students need? What channels can be used to communicate with students?<\/li><li><strong>Assessment<\/strong>: are all the learning outcomes met?
