Shortcuts and Troubleshooting

Viewing image based answers

When students have answered using images it may be difficult to view the image. You can use the following as ways of viewing the images better.

  • Mousepad:
    • Zoom In: Pinch on the mousepad.
    • Zoom Out: Reverse pinch or spread fingers on the mousepad.

 

  • Keyboard Shortcuts (Mac):
    • Zoom In: Press Cmd + (Command key and plus key).
    • Zoom Out: Press Cmd – (Command key and minus key).

 

  • Keyboard Shortcuts (Windows):
    • Zoom In: Press Ctrl + (Control key and plus key).
    • Zoom Out: Press Ctrl – (Control key and minus key).

 

  • Save Image:
    • Right-click on Image: Save the image as follows:
    • Right-click on the image.
    • Choose “Save Image As.”
    • The downloaded image is typically in a large format.

 

  • Open Image in New Tab:
    • Right-hand click on the image:
    • Right-click on the image.
    • Choose “Open Image in New Tab” for a closer view.

Troubleshooting Marker access

Sign in to your imperial account if prompted via the Microsoft Imperial account

If you see the main LAMS homescreen instead of the Monitor display, click on your profile in the top right of the screen.

Click on logout to refresh the page- you will automatically be resigned in after this.

Open the monitor link again which you have been sent.

You should now see the monitor display for the exam. To access the answers, now double click on the box which is titled ‘Exam’

Double-click on the name of the student you will be marking and their answers will appear in a pop-out window.

 

The Warning system in LAMS

Click on the monitoring icon.

Double-click on the exam activity.

Yellow warnings: Some responses are blank

To view the warning on the student’s responses click on the warning.

The warning signs will show next to the applicable questions.

Red warning: Some responses were removed

To view the warning on the student’s responses click on the warning.

Here you can see the longest response which was previously provided and when this was provided.

Grey warning: Current response is shorter than the longest recorded response
