Managing Senior Tutors

MedLearn has the concept of ‘Senior Tutors’ who are tied to a Group / Programme. You can have multiple Senior Tutors for each programme if required.

How to add Senior Tutors

  1. Navigate to the Welfare & Tutoring > Senior Tutors (Welfare) page
  2. Click the ‘Add new senior tutor’ button
  3. Locate the Senior Tutor using username / surname and allocate the correct programme / group.
  4. Click the ‘Add tutor’ button to add them to that group

Once added a Senior Tutor will have a new menu item in MedLearn under their ‘Staff Menu’ items allowing them to view students under Senior Tutor care.

How to flag students as requiring Senior Tutor care

  1. Navigate to the Welfare & Tutoring > Senior Tutors (Welfare) page
  2. Click on the ‘Students under care’ tab
  3. Search for the student and indicate their requirements e.g. requiring handver

You can also add a student to Senior Tutor care by searching for them in the main MedLearn admin user search box, edit their profile and look for the Senior Tutor flags as shown below.

What can Senior Tutors do?

Senior tutors have their own dashboard that shows all students under care. When viewing a student profile they get an additional Senior Tutor tab allowing them to add a ‘touchpoint’ such as a phone call / email. The can share this note with the welfare and / or student if required.
