Managing user roles
The following user roles are currently available:
Standard Roles
- Network Admin (Highest level)
- Site Admin / FEO Admin
- Data Viewer
- Assessment Manager
- Registers Manager
Mitigating Circumstances Roles
- Mit circs Admin
- Mit circs reviewer
Welfare Roles
- Welfare Team
You can view / assign roles on the following page:
https://medlearn.imperial.ac.uk/admin/?view=permissions
This would change for MedLearn or cumbria, just change the initial part of the URL.
What permissions do each of the roles have?
Network admins are able to do everything all other roles can do. Please be careful assigning it. Ideally, there would only be one network admin named user for each Department. Network admins also have the ability to ‘swap to’ any user in order to troubleshoot. See the FAQs below for how to manage this role.
Dept Admins / FEO admins can do everything apart from editing Welfare information and and managing Mit Circs
Assessment and Registers managers can manage assessments and registers respectively.
Data viewers can view student information but not make changes top any data.
Welfare Team members can edit student support cards, tutors groups and other tutor / tutee data
Please note, a ‘senior tutor’ exists outside of these roles, but this is managed by the Welfare Team.
